Fletcher House

We worked on the Fletcher House – our 4th project with Sydney-based design firm SE DÉA – to transform this traditional Australian beach house into a relaxed contemporary home in Sydney’s Tamarama, complete with five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a private pool and entertaining area. Internally the focus was on updating the spaces by using a carefully selected palette of bold marbles, dark metals and timbers with special features such as a custom glass and timber sauna complete with cactus garden views. Furnishing add personality and classic choices mix with playful moments such as the Gucci tiger-face wallpaper in the powder room.

Budget-conscious decisions were made in terms of where to spend and where to save and we worked with the clients to facilitate a staged building plan to accommodate the family’s changing circumstances. For example, all the external decking, paving, pool fence and bench seating was phased separately to the internal works.
